Malmo, Sweden, 11 September 2018: His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in Malmo, Sweden this afternoon to start the first leg of His four-nation Europe visit, which will see Him visit Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland over the next few weeks.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama has been invited here to deliver a public talk on The Art of Happiness and Peace at Malmo Live on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Swedish aid organization Individuell Människohjälp (IM) – who are the main hosts for this visit.
It is the same organisation that hosted His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s last visit to Sweden in 2011.
A press conference arranged by the visit hosts in coordination with the Office of Tibet, London to be held tomorrow morning will be the first official program on His Holiness’ two-day visit to Sweden. This will be followed by the public talk at Malmo Live.
On Wednesday morning His Holiness will give an audience to the Tibetan community members and Tibet supporters (gathered here from Sweden and nearby Scandinavian countries). He will then give interviews to two leading media organisations in Sweden.
His Holiness has further engagements in Malmo on Wednesday and will then depart Malmo for Rotterdam on 14 September 2018 morning.
