Dharamshala: Cheers and relief filled the streets of Dharamshala as thousands decked with flowers and auspicious offerings celebrated the return of their beloved spiritual leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Dharamshala in excellent health.
The past week, His Holiness the Dalai Lama was in Delhi undergoing a brief treatment for a light chest infection. He was discharged immediately in three days after the successful treatment.
Arriving at the Dharamshala airport, His Holiness energetically interacted with the local reporters and said he’s completely recovered and in robust health.
Before leaving Delhi, His Holiness addressed a young group of college students and Tibetan community in Delhi. Rejuvenated and recharged, His Holiness assured the 800-strong audience that he was in the best of health.
President Dr Lobsang Sangay, Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, Settlement Officer and representatives of Tibetan NGOs extended a warm welcome to His Holiness at the airport.
