Geneva: The President of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) Dr. Lobsang Sangay launched CTA’s book-cum-report “Tibet Was Never a Part of China, But Middle Way Approach Remains a Viable Solution” in Czech language during the inaugural program of the Third Geneva Forum 2020 in the presence of Member of Czech Republic Parliament Mr. František Kopřiva who is also the founding co-president of the Czech Parliamentary Group for Tibet, Member of Italian Senator Mr. Roberto Rampi (Italy) and Councillor Madame Regula Rytz (Switzerland). The Tibet Bureau Geneva is organizing the Third Geneva Forum 2020 virtually for a week from 9 November to 13 November 2020.
The Czech translation of the book was carried out by AZ Translations involving Zuzana Daňková, Petra Hanušová a Miroslav Pošta, Helena Koutná, Lucie Melicharová, Andrea Svobodová, Michal Synek, Taši Dolma and Kateřina Sedlická as translators and proofreaders. The translation was sponsored by Lungta, a Tibet Support Group based in the Czech Republic. The book will be printed by Narthang Press of Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration.
The pdf version of the book is already available on the Tibet.Net and Tibetoffice.ch (Tibet Bureau Geneva) websites. The report is organized into nine chapters that cover self-immolations, human rights, cultural genocide, the history of Tibet’s status, the environment, urbanization, economic development, the reincarnation of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and the Middle Way Policy. It gives a comprehensive picture of the situation inside Tibet. The original tri-lingual report was launched in 2018 in English, Tibetan and Mandarin languages.
