Rikon Tibet Institute’s Khen Rinpoche -Geshe Thupten Legmen along with resident monks and managing representatives received Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche on 31 March 2023.
Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche arrived in Switzerland as part of the Europe Tour on 30 March 2023. Upon arrival in Switzerland, he was warmly received at the Zurich airport by Representative Thinlay Chukki of the Tibet Bureau Geneva along with the President and Vice President of the Tibetan Community of Switzerland & Liechtenstein joined by sponsors and other members of the Tibetan community.
At the request of the Tibetan Community of Switzerland & Liechtenstein, Kyabje Yongzin Ling Choktrul Rinpoche bestowed life-long empowerment at Stadhalle Dietekon, Zurich on 1st April. Thousands of Tibetans and Tibetan Buddhist followers gathered to receive empowerment. Representative Thinlay Chukki attended the empowerment prayer session and also offered mandrel to Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche.
The next day, Rinpoche addressed Tibetan youth on the significance of preserving Tibetan culture, Tibetan language and the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. He stressed heeding the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and imbibing those teachings in practice. The interactive session with youth was joined by Representative Thinlay Chukki and the President of the Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Following the interactive session with Tibetan Youth in Switzerland, Kyabje Ling Rinpoche also met with section leaders of the Tibetan Community in Switzerland & Liechtenstein at the Tibetan community’s office based in Zurich.
Rinpoche is scheduled to travel to Austria, Germany, Spain and France following the engagements in Switzerland which will conclude on 13th April.
