Kyabje Ling Choktrul Rinpoche Bestows Lojong Teachings and Confers Avalokiteshvara Initiation in Basel

Upon the earnest request of the Tibetan Community of Basel, Kyabje Ling Choktrul Rinpoche visited Basel and bestowed teachings on the Eight Verses of Thought Transformation (Lojong) and conferred the Four-Armed Avalokiteshvara Initiation over two days, from 27 to 28 June 2026, for the Tibetan community and other devotees in Switzerland.

The teachings, organised by the Tibetan Community of Basel, were attended by Representative Thinlay Chukki of the Tibet Bureau in Geneva, the Abbot of Rikon Monastery, representatives of the Tibetan Community of Basel, and members of the public.

During the religious proceedings, the distinguished guests offered a mandala and the three auspicious representations of the Buddha’s body, speech, and mind to Kyabje Ling Choktrul Rinpoche.

On 28 June, Representative Thinlay Chukki held a meeting with Christian Lutz from the Tibetan Cultural Artefacts Museum in Basel.
