Tibetan Community of Austria Commemorates 49th Day of Prayer for Lobga Rangzen

The Tibetan Community of Austria observed the 49th day since the passing of Pawo Lobga Rangzen with solemn prayer ceremonies in Vienna, Linz and Salzburg on 20 August, 2026.
In Vienna, the main prayer gathering was held at the Panchen Losang Chogyen Gelug Centre, where community members offered prayers and dedicated merits for the peaceful rebirth of Lobga Rangzen and for all Tibetans who have sacrificed their lives for the Tibetan cause.
Similar prayer gatherings in Linz and Salzburg reflected the solidarity and unity of Tibetans across Austria. The commemorations also served as a peaceful reminder of the continuing human rights situation in Tibet and the importance of preserving Tibetan identity, culture, language and religion.
The Tibetan Community of Austria expressed its profound respect for Lobga Rangzen and reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful advocacy for the rights and dignity of the Tibetan people.
